Stephen Day has roots that run deep in the West. He was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, and lived in Santa Fe, NM; Lovell, WY; Aspen, CO; and graduated from High School in Durango, CO. For the last 35 years he has lived in the Denver area, Taos, NM, Silver City, NM, and southern Arizona, and has committed himself to painting the beauty he finds in the western landscape. Day's work reflects his attachment to the big Vistas and big skies which characterize the West. His work also displays an attraction to the more focused subjects of the West like old buildings, mountain streams, and intimate forest scenes. This website displays a small portion of the thousands of paintings he has done. There are two categories: (1) Examples of paintings and (2) Available Etchings
